It is situated on the first floor and it
accomodates from 2 to 4 people ( 4 + 2 ). “La quercia” gets down its
name from the oak wood which is in front of the house. The
sitting-room with its fireplace is very comfortable; the walls are
decorated with original pictures representing scenes of rural life in
Valdichiana at the beginning of XX century.The copper objects in the
kitchen were used a lot in the past: jugs for water, a balance, some
pans and “ ghiotta” (a container for oil and fat that dripped from the
roast during the cooking and used afterwards to prepare a famous soup
called “ ribollita” ). The double bedroom has a wrought iron bed with
a central medallion decorated by the local XIX century craftsmen. The
walls are painted in a delicate light green.The single bedroom with
two single beds is comfortable , too. The bathroom is large,elegant
and decorated with mosaik work. Moreover, the apartment is provided
with TV , parabolic aerial and air conditioner in the bedrooms. |
